ce n’est pas (2021)

This piece is the result of a collaboration with poet Cathy Duong—one of the most difficult and rewarding pieces I’ve worked on, reflecting research into French colonial aesthetics and Vietnamese postcolonial ennui. It was recorded asynchronously by members of the Yale Undergraduate Chamber Orchestra, and contains Duong’s poetry recited by the poet herself and Matt Udry.
